ronzophotocrib > This photo was taken at Lovers Leap southeast of Independence KS November 2nd 2008. While looking for a location to have a photo shoot, two steps away I looked down and nearly fell down trying to keep from stepping on him. This Copper Head was out getting a little sun on this cool Sunday morning. He wasn't very aggressive towards me as I took advantage of the opportunity to get its picture. I think it was approximately three to three and half foot long and looked mean as hell. I sure look a lot harder,and try to be more carefull now when I'm out there. I really didn't think they would still be out this time of year.
